The MyXRHealth app allows you to launch VR therapy sessions directly from your phone. This article walks you through the steps to get started.
For a full overview of the app, see How to use the MyXRHealth app.
Before You Begin
Before launching any VR content, make sure your headset is ready:
- Turn on your VR headset. (Not sure how? See How to Use your Meta Quest VR Headset.)
- Make sure it is connected to Wi-Fi. (See How to Connect Your VR Headset to Wi-Fi.)
- Open the XR Portal on the headset.
Note: Your headset must be on, connected, and inside XR Portal for the app to detect it as 'online'.
Launching VR Content
- Open the myXRHealth app and scroll down on the Home screen.
- Tap Browse Your Library.
- Select the VR app you want to launch. You can use the search bar to find specific content, or tap Filter to filter content by Space.
- At the bottom of the screen, you will see a panel showing your headset status.
- If your headset is online, a Play button (▶) will appear. Tap it to launch the session.
- Put on your headset — you will be taken directly into the VR environment you selected.
- If the app includes a settings or configuration screen, complete the setup inside the VR headset.
Note: Everything described in this section can also be done from the web version at my.xr.health.
Headset Status Indicators
| What you see | What it means |
|---|---|
| Headset is on, connected, and ready | |
| Headset is offline — turn it on and make sure it's connected to Wi-Fi and inside XR Portal | |
| A VR session is already running on the headset |
Exiting a VR Session
To exit a VR app, do so from inside the VR headset. You cannot exit a session from the mobile app.
Note: While a VR session is running, you will not be able to launch another app from the myXRHealth app. Exit the current session first from inside the headset.
Previewing Content on Your Phone
Some VR environments support a Preview mode, which lets you watch the content directly on your phone without a headset. If this option is available, a 👁 eye icon will appear in the headset panel. Tap it to preview.
