Checking Your Controller Battery Status
When wearing your headset, you can easily check your controller’s battery levels right inside the VR view.
Simply look at your virtual hands while holding the controllers. You will see that next to each controller, you’ll see its battery status indicator.
Each controller displays up to four dots in green, yellow, or red. When only one red dot appears, it’s time to replace the battery.
You can also view the battery level from the Launcher screen. Located at the bottom left corner you can hover over the controller icons to check your controller battery percentage.

How To Replace Your Batteries
Press the battery cover release button near the thumbstick on the side of the controller.
Remove the cover
Carefully remove the existing battery by sliding the old battery upward to remove it.
Insert a new battery with the negative end first, so the positive end points downward toward the bottom of the controller.

Slide the battery cover back into place until it clicks securely.

Replacing The Controller Batteries for Your Meta Quest Headset. Your controllers come with new batteries installed. To replace your controller batteries, press the button, open the battery cover to release it and slide the cover away from the controller. Then just replace the old battery with a new one, put the cover back and slide to close it. Now the controllers will be ready to keep going.
